Up until recently, you were able to get the Visa on Arrival, but you would have to wait quite some time in line at the airport. Now, your best option is to apply for eVisa. Firstly, you will have to check if you are eligible for one and if you are, visit this website and follow the instructions.

Getting your visa approved is very simple which is why you should put Oman on your bucket list. All you are required to do is to fill out the form and provide the company with all the necessary information, make an online payment, and you will get the approved visa on your email within a few days.

On the other hand, if your country is a member state of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) you are not required to have this document at all. Also, if you have been to Israel before, there is no need to worry because you will be granted the entrance to Oman.

After the Visa, these are two important things that you should inquire about. When it comes to accommodation, you have to know that Oman is a no-hostel country, meaning that only hotels are at your disposal. Clearly, you can choose between budget and 5-start ones and this all depends on your preference and finances.

Furthermore, we have to be completely honest with you – transportation in Oman is really bad. The cheapest option you have is the bus, but then you will have to follow the schedule and you are going to be time-restricted. You can use their version of Uber or regular cab service just make sure to discuss the price with the drivers of the later one. Due to its many benefits, most people opt for renting a vehicle, so you should consider doing the same.

The Omani Rial is the official currency in Oman. One Rial is about 2.60 US dollars and the great thing is that you can pay almost everything with your credit card. This includes all the restaurants, shops, and grocery stores.

If you want to have some cash with you, just in case, you have the best chance of finding the ATM machines in malls. This is something to be expected since these are usually visited by tourists.

Furthermore, the Internet connection is another thing that is really important for your stay. Keep in mind that Wi-Fi networks are available only in hotels and restaurants and also, you can only connect to the web with the local number which means that you will have to buy a SIM card.
